Featured Speaker Bio

Ben Zimmerman (senior consultant) BS, MS in psychology with emphasis in behavioral analysis.

Ben Zimmerman worked at the Kennedy Krieger Institute (affiliated with Johns Hopkins) in the Feeding Disorders Program. Ben worked as a feeding therapist in the inpatient Feeding Disorders unit, where kids between 9 months and 11 years of age were treated for severe food refusal. He also worked in the Outpatient Feeding Disorders Program with a variety of cases doing clinic evaluations to determine whether a child was appropriate for the program, as well as determining where they belonged in the program if treatment was advised. Ben then spent one year consulting out of state (after working at Kennedy Krieger Institute), as well as abroad, before deciding to open the Los Altos Feeding Clinic.

Ben Zimmerman works from a behavioral perspective. Although from experience working in a multidisciplinary team  Ben has learned that other disciplines must be taken into account.

"I thought the material was very interesting...Ben was a very informative and knowledgeable speaker." -May, OT
